Bardan says : "The whole problem with Alora is that you can only recruit her at a late stage of the game. While this means that her thief skills are well developed, it also means that you probably already are comfortable with your party composition, and you don't get to assign her thief points as you see fit. Admittedly, her superlative dexterity score and her racial bonuses mean that she is unparalleled in her thieving skills. It also gives her a much needed AC boost, because with 8 strength, she isn't going to be wearing much armour. Neither will you want to risk any backstabs with her, as the chances of her hitting anything are slim to none. As far as personality goes, you'll either love her for her chirpy, cheerful attitude, or want to strangle her for being so constantly upbeat. Alora is not a powergamers' favourite, nor is she as well loved for her personality and flexibility as Imoen, but if you arrive at Baldur's Gate somehow bereft of a thief, pick up Alora. Otherwise, I would stay away." |
