Bardan says : "Ahh, Imoen. Immy. Chirpy without being irritating (well, to most of us). Powerful without overshadowing the main character (shame on you Edwin!). Imoen's a keeper. A fantastic thief, mainly because you can decide where to put the majority of her points, and aided by her 18 dexterity, Imoen has the stats to dual to a mage at level 4 or 5. It's ok - we all do it. Even Bioware did it. A crack shot with a shortbow, Imoen is one of the most powerful characters in the game, especially when she's been dualled. Her awesome power is in her versatility. Pump up her stealth, dual her, give her boots of stealth, and you have a strike-and-fade spellcaster. Give her the wand of fire, and toast those enemies! Cast 'Strength' on yourself, and lay down an enemy with a fearsome backstab! If you're really serious about thieving, don't dual her, and pump up her skill levels in whatever way you desire. Basically, Imoen can do it all except go toe-to-toe, and if you do dual-class her, you can even do that for a short time, aided by spells. There really is no overstating the uses to which you can put Imoen. She's cheerful, pleasant, versatile and powerful. The only possible reason for not having her is that you're a repeat player who is trying out different party combinations. Otherwise, she should be a permanent fixture in your party." |
