Bardan says : "He's foul-mouthed and evil, but many people will willingly put up with that to gain this fearsome tank. Whereas he doesn't have as many hitpoints as you would expect, Kagain does gain benefit from his super-high constitution. He regenerates. That's right, he heals up without having to sleep, cast spells, or drink potions. Sure, it's slow, but it helps. As we would expect from a stereotypical dwarf, Kagain is an axe expert, so equipping him really isn't a problem. Plate mail, axe, big shield. Once he's suited up, toss him out there to soak up the damage, something he's especially good at if you got him at a low level, and his hitpoints have been boosted by fortunate rolls at level-up. However, he is evil, so he won't be happy amongst his nicer counterparts, particularly Yeslick. Kagain and Yeslick hate each other with a passion, and they will show this verbally and physically. Kagain seems to come with a quest - track down the missing caravans - but halfway through, he just gives up, and declares he will stay with your party! Whether this was intentional, or was an oops-we've-just-realised-we-don't-have-the-time-to-complete-the-game botch up by Bioware, we'll never know. Unless we ask. Which we won't. " |
