Bardan says : "The only good-aligned straigth fighter, Khalid is a staple of the successful Baldur's Gate party, depsite the fact that he is unusually prone to becoming scared. Use him well, but keep some Resist Fear spells handy. A decent stat line means that equipping him with plate mail and either a two-handed sword, or a sword and shield is no great problem. Go for 5 proficiency points in 'Large Sword', and let him loose! As with all NPC 'pairs', Khalid will leave if his other half leaves. If you want Khalid, be prepared to take Jaheirs. Overall, I'd say it was still worth it. His personality? Well, he doesn't have much of a one. he does what Jaheira tells him to do, and speaks with a stutter, which I think was only put in to further his indecisive character. Nevertheless, he's a decent guy, and he will only start to complain if you get really evil, so don't. I would recommend Khalid." |
