Description

A member of a special sect within the Druidic order, a druid of this type is dedicated to fighting those who would defile nature. Avengers have powers the average druid does not; additional abilities that have been earned through extensive rituals, a process that is very physically draining.

Advantages:
- May shapeshift into the form of a werewolf once per day for every 2 levels (starts at 1st level with one use).
- May shapechange into normal forms, as well as those of sword spider, baby wyvern and fire salamander
- 6 mage spells are added to his repertoire, all the way up to 6th level. These are listed below:
- 1st: Chromatic Orb
- 2nd: Web
- 3rd: Lightning Bolt
- 4th: Improved Invisibility
- 5th: Chaos
- 6th: Chain lightning

Disadvantages:
- May not wear better than leather armor.
- On character creation he receives a -2 to strength and constitution.

Opinions

Bardan says : The avenger is a strange kit. The -2 to Str and Con hurt alot, but in return you get osme cool mage spells (memoriseable as druid spells) and some good shapeshifts. Better than a normal druid? Probably. Still, it's hard to judge. The ability penalties shouldn't hurt too much, because no druid should be in the front line anyway. However, the extra spells, though nice, are hardly devestatingly effective. Well, maybe Chromatic Orb is good, but the others are not so hot.
