Bardan says : You need a thief in BG2. Traps are an ever present danger. All manner of impressive items are lying around in locked containers (honestly, would they even be there if you weren't meant to take them? *wink*). There are Mages beggin to be backstabbed for an instant kill. There are groups of enemies to scout out and interesting rings to be lifted from peoples' fingers. Oh yeah - and the ability to set traps is a devestating weapon even when used sparingly. Taker a thief along. You won't regret it.
