Where she is |
Nalia is looking for mercenaries in the Copper Coronet |
Biography When asked about her past, Nalia is a bit hesitant. She comes from a wealthy land-owning family headed by Lord de'Arnise, and while she speaks of her relatives with affection, the fact of her upbringing seems to embarrass her at the same time. Nalia clearly identifies more with the 'poorer classes'... but also looks upon them with the eyes of the privileged. She has been educated and taught the magical arts, as per her dead mother's wishes, but Nalia states that her years of sneaking out of the castle have taught her the other side of life as well. She still has much to learn about life beyond her caste, however, and she knows it... and she is sure adventuring is the answer. |

Special |
Nalia has her own quest (d'Arnise Keep). There are extra bonuses for fighters, monks and barbarians here. |
Bardan says, "OK, Nalia has her own band of ardent supporters, but I'm not one of them. She is a halfway competent thief, and a decent enough mage, but nothing about her really stands out. She has a permenantly equipped ring that grants her some nice fire resistance bonuses, but also prevents you from equipping her with 2 rings of your choice at once. Basically, Nalia is a sub-standard Imoen clone. Look at Nalia as a stopgap solution until you can get Immy back. Another way to think of Nalia is as a thief who can use a shortbow. Give her a mage robe, the Gesen bow and a shortsword (for use as a last resort.) |

Kothoses says, "Nalia is good for one thing - the strong hold quest if you are a fighter beyond that there is little point to carrying her. Edwin and Imoen are better mages. Jan & Yoshi while he is alive, and even Imoen make better thieves. As Bardan says nothing more than a stop gap until you can find some one better. She is the only NPC to challenge for the Anomen Delryn award for being bloody annoying." |
