Where he is

Yoshimo will approach you in Irenicus' Dungeon

Biography

When asked about his past, Yoshimo seems disheartened that you are not already acquainted with his reputation. By his own account, he is apparently well known among people in the know, both as a daring rogue and as a dashing man about town. While the story sounds impressive, he seems ungainly for such exploits, possibly a bit more hapless than debonair. He wears it well, however, and perhaps even capitalizes on it. He seems to know that his kind of good-natured humor is well appreciated by most everyone he meets.

Special

Yoshimo leaves your party at Spellhold. If you've played the game, you know why ......

Bardan says, "Ahh, the one and only pure-class thief in the game, Yoshimo is fairly good at what he does, which is traps. He can detect and disarm them all, and as he's a bounty hunter, he is good at setting alot of them. He has his thief skills where you would want them at the start of the game - in Find Traps, Open Locks and Set Sraps. He's decent at hiding, and hence scouting and backstabbing, too. His stat line is actually quite strong (you could dual him to a fighter!) and there are plenty of good items to buff him up with. Give him the Tuigan Bow, Armour of Deep Night/Shadow, Celestial Fury, Cloak of Non-Detection and some boots of speed. He'll actually be a damn good fighter as well as a fantastic backstabber.

Personality-wise? Yoshimo is a bounty hunter. A mercenary. He works for the highest bidder. He is also a thief and a master of deception. He will get on with everyone, though Haer'Dalis is rather suspicious of the eastern thief. He'll not clash with any alignment, and person and will not really do anything you don't want him to until you get to Spellhold. If you need a thief, but not past Spellhold, then pick him up. Just be prepared for when he leaves you. "
